The Partner, Life Sciences, will serve as the primary architect for launching and scaling the hiring organization’s life sciences business line. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Thought & Strategy
Design and execute a multi-year strategy that aligns market needs with the hiring organization’s unique technical capabilities.
Lead the transition of the Life Sciences unit from startup/mobilization phase to a sustainable, high-growth business model.
Serve as a preeminent industry thought leader, representing the hiring organization at global forums to define their identity in the private-sector health space.
2. Growth & Execution
Enhance the hiring organization’s service offerings to drive market expansion and ensure adaptive delivery across varying regulatory environments.
Generate and lead a robust pipeline of high-value opportunities, securing flagship partnerships that validate the hiring organization’s commercial and public health impact.
Oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery milestones are met with technical excellence and high-quality outcomes.
3. People & Influence
Cultivate and maintain an active, high-level network of senior contacts across the pharmaceutical and MedTech industries.
4. Financial & Resource Management
Own the financial and operational performance of the hiring organization’s Life Sciences unit with full profit and loss accountability, focusing on revenue growth and long-term sustainability.
Qualifications:
Education, Experience, Skills and Competencies
Advanced degree in a related field is required, e.g., MBA, MPH, MD, or PhD.
10+ years of relevant progressive experience in life sciences, management consulting, and/or global public health industry, including an active, high-level network of senior-level contacts across the global pharmaceutical and MedTech industries.
Proven executive track record with 7+ years of experience directing high-growth business units and multidisciplinary teams, specializing in organizational development and the mentorship of senior-level talent.
Deep expertise in International (LMIC) healthcare markets, including an ability to navigate varying regulatory environments, reimbursement models, and supply chain dynamics. Additional experience in the U.S. healthcare market is preferred.
Demonstrated success in launching and scaling a successful healthcare consulting practice or commercial business unit within a larger institutional framework.
The ability to speak the language of commercial success (market share, product lifecycle, efficiency) alongside the language of public health (health equity, health outcomes, system strengthening).
Advanced analytical fluency and ability to synthesize complex, multi-source data sets into high-level strategic narratives.
Language
Fluent oral and written English communication skills.
Fluency in a second language (French, Spanish, Portuguese, or others) is preferred.
Travel Expectations
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, as necessary (50%).
