Talent Acquisition Partnership (TAP)
Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is the Talent Acquisition Partnership (TAP)?
TAP is an embedded recruitment partnership designed for organizations that want the power of a full talent acquisition department without the fixed overhead and management burden of building one internally. Through the TAP, Head Global embeds a dedicated recruiter (or more!) into your organization while also providing access to the broader Head Global leadership team and 45+ years of combined talent acquisition expertise.
This means you gain both tactical execution and strategic advisory support. We help you fill roles, but we also help you determine whether those roles should exist in the first place, how they should evolve, and how your overall team structure should grow over time.
The result is a recruitment function that is flexible, strategic, and designed to support long-term organizational resilience.
How is TAP different from Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO)?
Some organizations explore Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) when they want external support managing recruitment. While RPO models typically focus on recruitment execution, the TAP goes further. With the TAP, you do gain embedded recruitment support, but you also gain strategic talent advisory from the Head Global leadership team. We help you think through questions such as:
Do you actually need a full-time hire right now?
Would a fractional consultant or interim solution solve the problem faster?
How should this role evolve over time?
How do you build a pipeline of future talent before you need it?
In other words, traditional RPO helps fill roles. Head Global’s TAP helps design and build stronger teams.
How is TAP different from a retained search?
Retained search and TAP solve different types of hiring challenges. A retained search is ideal when you already know you need to fill one or two specific full-time roles. The scope is tightly defined, and the responsibility is on Head Global to fill that role regardless of how many hours it takes. Our TAP, on the other hand, is broader and more flexible. It is designed for organizations that are hiring regularly or navigating multiple talent decisions over time.
Through TAP, we help you:
evaluate whether a role should be full-time, fractional, or consulting
build talent pipelines before roles even open
develop stronger job scopes and team structures
manage multiple searches simultaneously
build long-term recruitment infrastructure and candidate databases
Many organizations use our TAP to guide their broader talent strategy and then layer in retained searches for specific executive hires when needed.
How flexible are the TAP tiers?
The TAP tiers are designed to provide structure, but they are also intentionally flexible. Organizations often begin in one tier and then move up or down depending on hiring activity, growth, or changing priorities. We regularly discuss these adjustments with our clients. In fact, every TAP engagement includes quarterly Pause and Reflect sessions, where we step back together and assess:
current hiring needs
team structure and priorities
upcoming growth or funding changes
whether the current tier still makes sense
If adjusting the level of support would better serve your organization, we make that recommendation. Our goal is always to help you make the smartest talent investment for your bottom line.
What would a typical day look like if I sign up for TAP?
A good way to understand TAP is through the experience of a typical day.
8:15 AM: You wake up anxious about a sudden leadership gap. You call Daniel. Ten minutes later, you aren’t just “filling a seat.” You have a strategy to reposition the role for the current market.
10:00 AM: You meet with your Head Global TAP team. You look at open requisitions with Yaniv and Kathryn. Instead of two expensive full-time hires, you pivot. One role becomes a short-term consultant to handle the immediate fire, and the other becomes a strategic part-time hire with room to expand scope over time.
11:30 AM: Kathryn has finalized the job descriptions. They are not just lists of requirements. They are brand-aligned narratives designed to attract purpose-driven talent. She has promised you a short list within one week and you are excited to see profiles come together so quickly.
9:00 PM: You see the postings live on Head Global’s Purpose-Driven Opportunity Hub. You go to sleep knowing your team is growing with intention while your overhead remains lean and flexible.
How quickly can TAP start delivering results?
Because we embed directly into your organization and already maintain an extensive network of talent, a TAP can begin delivering results quickly. In many cases we begin sourcing candidates within days of launching a role, and short lists are often produced within one to two weeks depending on the complexity of the position.
What types of organizations benefit most from TAP?
TAP is especially effective for organizations that:
are growing quickly
are navigating uncertain markets or funding cycles
need to hire across multiple roles or departments
want strategic guidance on team design and workforce planning
want recruitment capacity without adding permanent overhead
Many of our clients use a TAP to stabilize hiring during periods of change while maintaining the flexibility to scale up or down as their needs evolve.
What happens if our hiring needs slow down?
That flexibility is exactly why the TAP exists. Instead of carrying the fixed cost of a full-time recruiter or TA team, you can adjust your level of engagement as your hiring needs evolve. During slower periods, we often focus on pipeline development, strengthening candidate databases, refining job scopes, or preparing for future hiring needs.
What makes Head Global different from other recruitment firms?
Most recruitment firms focus on filling a role. Head Global focuses on helping organizations grow intentionally. Our model combines:
embedded recruitment execution
strategic talent advisory
flexible consulting and fractional solutions
a deep network of purpose-driven professionals
Because we take a long-term partnership approach, our clients rely on us not only to fill roles, but to help them build stronger teams over time.
How do we get started?
The first step is a short strategy intake call. During that conversation we learn about your current team structure, hiring priorities, and organizational goals. From there we recommend the TAP tier that best aligns with your needs. If TAP is the right fit, we begin building a partnership designed to help your organization grow with clarity, agility, and confidence.
